Want to give back to your community? Why don't you volunteer to serve meals on Wednesday nights (5:30-8:30 pm) at the Saint Luke's Episcopal Church in Chelsea, MA.

Looking for volunteers. If you are planning to attend the test run on December 2nd, please let Fr. Edgar know. Need to have a head count to know how much food to order. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Apollinaire Theatre Company, See the New Spaces!

Apollinaire Theatre Company is building 2 new theater spaces, including a professional rental Blackbox Theatre, and a Youth Theatre for youth program productions.

Apollinaire Theatre Company invites you on November 14th to see the new youth space, rental black box, and co-working spaces under construction, and to hear your thoughts on how these new spaces can best serve you and the wider community. Notice is hereby given that the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and the City of Chelsea will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday,  November 4, at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall. On the evening’s agenda will be an overview of the semi-finalist artists for the new Chelsea Commuter Rail Station, currently in design. The artists will be commissioned to design 22 porcelain enamel art panels as part of the MBTA Integral Art Program for the new station.

10th Annual Family Literacy Day

The 10th Annual Chelsea Reads celebration will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chelsea Public Library. A free backpack, books and a special 10th anniversary button will be given to all children in attendance, while supplies last. One backpack will contain a Golden Ticket for a special prize. There will be guest story tellers, Llama Llama character, Jungle Jim at noon and a dance performance at 1 p.m

CAPIC Fuel assistance program opens for the season

CAPIC's Fuel Assistance Program is accepting applications for this winter's heating season. The program serves families in Chelsea, Revere and Winthrop and assists households in paying heating bills from November 2015 to April 2016. The program is open to tenants as well as homeowners, whose income is within 60% of the state median income. Heat may be oil, propane, kerosene, gas or electric.
